This book read slow for me; especially the first 50% when I wondered how long it was going to take to get good and if I should consider setting it aside for something else. Lately I've felt, with reading books, that I should read them all through and give them the chance they deserve. Something this size should not have taken me this long to read, but it did. It was boring. The only thing I enjoyed was the beginning up to the moment when the chair gets all freaky. After that the story, which should have been rich, fell flat. I could not care less about Lena, Tarek, Zander, Wilma, and anyone else listed in the story. The main thing I thought about through the whole book was "Is it over yet?" Basically, the author took far too long to try to grab my interest. 70% in was too late.Product details

This is a very good book. It has action, magic,mystery and love. The characters are strong and it has a great story line. The author makes you see everything like you are in the book. So get it and enjoy.
This book was well written and fast paced...the romantic scene between the two main characters was tastefully done (and steamy). Looking forward to reading Book 2 from this author. Loved it.
It may start out as an ordinary story, but then turns into something altogether different. Different dimensions intertwined with people with different purposes. The author does great work at making you feel like you are right there beside Lena, feeling what she is feeling and seeing the images around her. It draws you into her world. It opens your mind to posibilities of what may surround us but be unseen by our eyes. It is a heart touching story of love that lasts beyond one lifetime. I had to get book 2 before I finished book one so I could keep on going and see what happens next. It touches on all the human emotions. I highly recommend this book.
Oh boy, where do I begin? this book was amazing. I loved the story! I felt a real connection with Lena. I felt like I was in her world, or worlds, the whole time. I also enjoyed how Lynn wrote it from two points of view. we see Lena's world from her side of things, and we see Tarek's as an outsider. This gave the novel an extra hint that Lena was Tarek's life, like he gave up his first-person section(s) so the novel could be about her. That's real true love, I think.
The way Lynn writes is phenomenal. Gahh I can't wait for the next book in this series. Just loved it!
I loved this book! Great characterization and world building. Quality writing and an intriguing story. A real page turner that you won’t want to put down. I fell in love with Tarek. The author does a fantastic job of ramping up the suspense in the story. I had no idea how it was going to end. Can’t wait to read more from this author.
You will forget to fix dinner, wash clothes, or even sleep if you pick up this series! IT'S THAT GOOD! Haven't seen my family in four days! Lena's story is fast paced, starting (but not really!) in a trailer park. Ending, in a palace as a " princess". In the middle of those bookends are many good times, bad times, love, hate, battles, magic, powerful men and women. Civilizations won and lost. So much excitement packed into four books! What a wonderful job our author did, weaving peace with strife, serenity with longing. Get this series!
I found the storyline and plot twists unique and the writing is excellent. The world building was very good; the reader is able to immerse themselves into that world because the author’s description and details are done so well.
The alternating storylines in each chapter made it somewhat difficult to read and the book needs to be edited better. I know that this is a problem for new authors starting out but I’ve seen books on other sights that were slammed just because of editing. This is an interesting story and I wouldn’t want it to be overlooked or shunned because of lack of editing. I like the storyline and the strong, smart women that were the main characters. The concept is good as are the action scenes and I’m repeating myself here but the lack of good editing is hurting this book.
