I have mixed feelings about this book.

I ordered the 'Kindle' version and I thought that $9.99 was a little too high for the amount/length of information found in the book.

Should be closer to a $5.99 book.

I loved the documentary and immediately afterward I went to chemicalnation.com to explore further 'natural, non-chemical' ways to detoxify my home.

This book definately has some great 'recipes' for shampoo, cleaners, homemade remedies, etc. but nothing more than you can find on the internet.

I am glad I bought it however because I have several ideas from it.

I learned allot more than I knew before about essential oils and now am going to try some of the recipes and add the oils.

This book has helped change my life and has detoxified my life! Just as good as the documentary! YOU MUST WATCH AND BUY!
lots of great recipes. some of the info in here was a reitteration from the actual documentary but it is all very useful info everyone should know
I bought this book bc I was blown away by the film and was interested in getting green cleaning recipes. There are only ten recipes and the rest of the book is about the authors view on garbage. I would recommend recipes online instead of this book! Don't buy not worth it. ( Dissappointed.
I could have got the information in this book for free on the internet. Rather dissapointing that I wasted my money on this.
This book is a fresh break away from the US's dominant cultural assumptions on cleaning! It's great because of the filmmaker's/activist's research on easy to I.D. chemicals such as baking soda and borax. It gives you the recipes for chemical concoctions and some background information on the chemicals that do the same job as the chemicals that you buy in the Big Box stores!
It only contains 6 recipes from the author and there is an added on section where he added reader recipes. It is a very short book and much of it describes why he chose a chemical free lifestyle and descriptions of the products used in the recipes. For 9.99 I felt like it should have had many more recipes included. Where are the recipes for the beauty products made on the documentary? I returned the book. If it had been cheaper I would have been okay with the purchase.
